MARC Train will operate a Saturday schedule on the Penn Line on Monday, February 22, with all trains originating and terminating at Penn Station. There will be no service to or from Martin Airport Station. Amtrak has notified MARC Train that the winter storm has significantly impacted Washington Union Station and Amtrak's operation between Washington and New York, which will severely limit MARC's ability to operate into Union Station tomorrow. The Saturday schedule is the greatest level of service that Amtrak can safely and reliably support.
Please adhere to the following for travel in winter weather:
--Allow ample time to drive to the station, park your car, and WALK -- do not run -- to the train platform
--We strongly encourage passengers to wear shoes appropriate for winter weather. Dress shoes and heels are strongly discouraged.
--MARC Facilities staff will be out treating platforms and parking lots, but some spots may be slippery. WALK slowly and take your time.
--When boarding your train, use handrails to walk through wet or slushy areas. Despite treatment and cleaning, train stairs and floors can be slippery.
Thank you for riding MARC Train. Further updates on service will be provided as conditions warrant.

MARC Penn Line schedules will change on February 16 and March 16, 2026 due to a major Amtrak trackwork project in New Jersey, which is resulting in significant modifications to Amtrak train schedules between Washington and New York. In addition, a project has begun south of Union Station to construct a new railroad bridge across the Potomac River, which is affecting Amtrak trains that travel through Washington, DC to points south. The changes to Amtrak schedules resulting from these two projects will require MARC Train to modify our schedules as follows:
--Until February 13: Current schedule (May 12, 2025) is in effect.
--February 16: Interim schedule takes effect.
--March 13: Interim schedule ends.
--March 16: Most (**but not all**) train schedules revert to the May 12, 2025 schedule, with additional changes due to Amtrak trackwork that will be starting between Penn Station and Edgewood.
Given the short effective dates of the February 16 schedule, full Penn Line timetables will not be produced. Passengers are can download a PDF copy of the new timetable at www.mta.maryland.gov/Penn_FebMar_changes . Limited copies of timetable grids are available at stations. This webpage also contains a full list of the changes. The March 16 schedule change will be announced and distributed by the first week of March.
