On Sunday, March 1, 2026, the City of Newport News will host the One City Marathon. To accommodate the change in traffic patterns, from 5:00 AM until approximately 3:00 PM the following routes will be on detour. Customers are advised to expect heavy delays and to plan accordingly. On Monday, March 2, 2026, the information booths located in the
transit centers will close from 10:00 AM until approximately 2:30
PM. Tickets may be purchased via the ticket vending machine in
the lobby. Route information and schedules are always available
online at gohrt.com or 757-222-6100.
On February 22-23, 2026, Hampton Roads Transit services will operate on their regular schedule, but due to expected inclement weather, customers are advised to expect delays. Updated information will be made available online at gohrt.com or via Customer Service.
