On Sunday, September 28, 2025, the City of Virginia Beach will close Virginia Beach Boulevard at Cypress Avenue for a long-term construction project. The Routes 20, 33, and 960 will operate on a detour until further notice. Customers needing board/disembark for the Routes 20 and 960 must go the 19th & Parks lineup (adjacent to the Virginia Beach Convention Center). Customers may also see delays due to traffic.

On Monday, March 2, 2026, the information booths located in the
transit centers will close from 10:00 AM until approximately 2:30
PM. Tickets may be purchased via the ticket vending machine in
the lobby. Route information and schedules are always available
online at gohrt.com or 757-222-6100.
On February 22-23, 2026, Hampton Roads Transit services will operate on their regular schedule, but due to expected inclement weather, customers are advised to expect delays. Updated information will be made available online at gohrt.com or via Customer Service.
