Beginning Monday, October 12, through Friday, October 30, Route 8 in the clockwise direction is on detour weekdays, Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. due to the closure of eastbound Riverside Drive for sewer improvement work in Lake Elsinore. During construction, stops 1320, 1321, 1322 and 1323 will be temporarily out of service. The nearest available stops are: Stop 1319 at Grand Avenue and Riverside Drive and Stop 1324 at Machado and Joy streets. To view the map, visit RiversideTransit.com and click on the Rider Alert tab. On Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 12 a.m. to 3 p.m., routes 1, 12, 13, 14, 15, 29 and 49 will be on detour in downtown Riverside due to street closures for the Mission Inn Run. During the detour, buses will travel on alternate streets in the downtown area and several bus stops along the Mission Inn Run route will be temporarily out of service.
