From April 2024 to 2028 The Watsonia Station car park has been closed since April 2024. From October 2025, there will be changes for pedestrians, cars, and buses accessing Watsonia Station as part of ongoing works for M80 Ring Road Completion. new DDA-compliant paths and upgraded crossings to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians. one-way entrance from Greensborough Highway northbound and a new signalised intersection for exiting vehicles. relocated bus stop and streamlined loop to support service reliability and reduce congestion. These changes will be in place until a new Watsonia Station car park is built later in the project. We’re planning our work in the station precinct to minimise disruptions. no changes to the pedestrian overpass or station platform access. maintaining accessible parking and drop-off and pick-up areas near the station entrance. providing more than 500 parking spaces at the nearby Watsonia Station commuter car park.

9pm to 4am each night, Monday 17 July to Wednesday 29 July To improve the safety and efficiency of Melbourne’s metropolitan rail network, critical safety works will be undertaken along the Mernda Line. These critical safety works form part of Metro’s annual works program to maintain and renew the rail network. What to expect: medium to high level construction noise during the set up and use of the heavy machinery rail grinding works that will cause a short-term immediate increase in noise once completed, that will decrease over time increased noise, dust and local traffic in the works area or the rail corridor traffic management in place, as required. Every effort will be made to carry out these works with respect for our valued neighbours. Works may be subject to change due to weather conditions and operational requirements.
