Rt 11 Detour Hillcrest Farmers Market Every Sun Started Sun Jan 26 2025 Until Sun Dec 27
Due to the Hillcrest Farmers Market University Avenue will be closed in both directions from Herbert St to Park Bl every Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm starting on 1/26 to 12/28. As a result, the route 11 will be on detour and the eastbound route 11 stop on University Ave at Herbert St (#10494) and the westbound route 11 stops on University Ave at Normal St (#10865), University Ave at Richmond St (#10862), University Ave at Vermont St (#11254) will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the eastbound route 11 on University Ave at Richmond St (#10114) or at Park Bl at University Ave (#12804) and the westbound route 11 on Park Bl at University Ave (#11675) or University Ave at 9th Ave (#10854).

Due to construction at East County Square Walmart, stop 41158 will be temporarily closed 24 hours a day 7 days a week beginning June 1, 2026 through October 1, 2026. An A-Frame has been placed in front of the Dollar Tree at East County Square where passengers can board Route 838.

San Diego Pride Parade & 5K impacting Route 11, (Sat 7/18/26) Starts Sat Jul 18 Until Sat Jul 18
On Saturday July 18th from 5am until approximately 4pm, Route 11 will be detoured off of University Ave as a result of the annual San Diego Pride Parade & 5K in the Hillcrest community. Bus stops on University Ave between 1st Ave and Park Blvd in both directions will be temporarily discontinued, as will the stops on Park Blvd between University Ave and El Cajon Blvd, (both directions).

During the course of the road closures, customers are advised to connect with service at the following bus stop locations:

* N/B Rte 11 on 1st @ Robinson, Washington @ 4th (Rte 3 Bus Stop), temporary A-Frame stop on Washington @ Lincoln (in front of Great
Maple), or on Park Blvd @ El Cajon Blvd
* S/B Rte 11 on Park @ Meade, temporary A-Frame on Washington at Cleveland or on Washington at 5th (Rte 3/10 Bus Stop)
