From Monday 13 July to Sunday 2 August, tram improvement works will take place at various locations on the network including between Deansgate-Castlefield and Trafford Bar, in the city centre and on the Eccles line. During this time, no trams will operate on the Eccles, Trafford Centre and Altrincham lines, with further service changes in place across the network. A replacement bus service will operate between the affected stops.
From 19 July to 29 August, we are making minor changes to the times of Monday to Friday journeys during the quieter summer period until the end of August.
On Sunday 9 August, from the start of service until 2pm, tram improvement works will take place at Deansgate-Castlefield and Trafford Bar. During this time, no trams will operate on the Eccles, Trafford Centre and Altrincham lines, with further service changes in place across the network. A replacement bus service will operate between the affected stops.
From Saturday 15 until Friday 28 August, track renewal works will take place on the Rochdale line. During this time, no tram services will operate between Oldham Mumps and Rochdale Town Centre. A bus replacement service will operate between the affected stops.
From Saturday 15 to Sunday 16 August, works will take place at Manchester Town Hall. To allow these works to happen safely, no trams will operate via Exchange Square. Services on the East Didsbury and Trafford Centre lines will operate via Market Street and Shudehill instead.

On Sunday 20 September, from the start of service until 10am, no trams will operate through Victoria. Essential improvement works will be taking place at Prestwich Metrolink stop. Tram services will not be affected however, there may be an increased presence of staff at this stop during this time.
