Due to Road Work(El Cajon Pipeline Project), Route 864 Eastbound and Westbound will be on a detour and have multiple bus stop closures starting Monday, May 04, 2026 through Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 8am to 3:30pm. The direction and affected bus stops are listed below.

Rt 1 Detour Hillcrest Farmers Market Every Sun Started Sun Jan 26 2025 Until Sun Dec 27 2026
Due to the Hillcrest Farmers Market University Avenue will be closed in both directions from Herbert St to Park Bl every Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm starting on 1/26 to 12/28. As a result, the route 1 will be on detour and the eastbound route 1 stop on University Ave at Herbert St (#10494) and the westbound route 1 stops on University Ave at Normal St (#10865), University Ave at Richmond St (#10862) and University Ave at Vermont St (#11254) will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the eastbound route 1on University Ave at Richmond St (#10114) or at Park Bl at University Ave (#12804) and the westbound route 1 on Park Bl at University Ave (#11675) or University Ave at 9th Ave (#10854).

Due to police activity on El Cajon at 56th, the route 215 will be on detour in both directions. The eastbound El Cajon Stop on 54th will be missed. Passengers are directed to catch the eastbound route 215 on southbound 54th at the route 955 stop. The westbound El Cajon and College stop will be missed. Passengers are directed to catch the westbound route 215 at the A-frame on southbound College at the Big 5.

Route 1 Detour due to Caltrans I-163 North Closure - May 16th, 2026 3AM-12PM.. During this time, buses will be guided through the closure via the 10th Ave on-ramp to northbound I-163 from University Ave, with assistance from Caltrans. Because buses are being escorted, additional wait times may occur if assistance is being provided to other vehicles.
