Route 3A Detour, Bridge Closure Started Wed Mar 12 Due to the Murray Street Bridge Seismic Retrofit Project, Route 3A Inbound (Capitola Mall to Downtown) will operate on a detour starting March 24, 2025, until further notice. Strawberry Festival 8/2 & 8/3 Started Wed Jul 30 Until Sun Aug 3 Santa Cruz METRO will provide free bus service to the Strawberry Festival from the Westridge South County Service Center at 500 Westridge Drive. Buses will run every 30 minutes. Service hours are Saturday 8/2 from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday 8/3 from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Labor Day Holiday Starts Thu Aug 28 Until Mon Sep 1 Holiday Service Reminder: Labor Day (Monday, September 1, 2025): No local METRO or ParaCruz service.
