Rt 1 Detour Hillcrest Farmers Market Every Sun Started Sun Jan 26 2025 5:00AM Until Sun Dec 27 2026 5:30PM
Due to the Hillcrest Farmers Market University Avenue will be closed in both directions from Herbert St to Park Bl every Sunday from 5:00am-5:30pm starting on 1/26 to 12/28. As a result, the route 1 will be on detour and the eastbound route 1 stop on University Ave at Herbert St (#10494) and the westbound route 1 stops on University Ave at Normal St (#10865), University Ave at Richmond St (#10862) and University Ave at Vermont St (#11254) will be closed. Passengers are advised to board the eastbound route 1on University Ave at Richmond St (#10114) or at Park Bl at University Ave (#12804) and the westbound route 1 on Park Bl at University Ave (#11675) or University Ave at 9th Ave (#10854).

Due to construction, the routes 1,10 & 11 bus stop located at westbound University Av & Vermont St (#11254), will be closed 10/22/25 - 07/31/26 (24/7).

Passengers are advised to catch all routes at University Av & 9th Av.

Route 1 Detour – Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon (May 31, 2026) Starts Sun May 31 3:00AM Until Sun May 31 3:00PM
Please be advised that Route 1 will operate on detour on May 31, 2026, due to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon.

4:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Passengers may use Fashion Valley Transit Center or the stop located at El Cajon Blvd & I-15 during this time.
10:00 AM – 2:30 PM: Bus stops for Route 1 heading toward La Mesa will reopen and be accessible.

However, bus stops for Route 1 heading toward Fashion Valley will remain closed from El Cajon Blvd & Texas to University Ave & 6th Ave until 2:30PM. Passengers are encouraged to use Fashion Valley Transit Center or the stop located at El Cajon Blvd & Texas.
