The National Weather Service has issues a Wind Advisory for the duration of this evening's service. High winds can result in multiple types of warnings and speed restrictions that CSX or Amtrak may deem necessary to issue. With all warnings, (Flash Flood, Wind, etc.) comes speed restrictions and delays of 20-25 minutes are common. These restrictions are issued to ensure you have a safe ride to your destination. Downed trees and tree limbs are also a possibility, which will result in lengthier delays and possibly temporary suspension of service.
We will provide updates as needed to keep you informed and thank you in advance for your patience and understanding with any delays that result.
Train 871 (1:30 pm dpt Union Station) has been terminated at Barnesville Station due to downed tree blocking route ahead. Passengers will be accommodated by Train 873 departing Union Station at 3:30 pm.
