The Commuter Rail will be operating on a weekend schedule on Friday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Travel will be free on trains scheduled to arrive or depart North/South Station & bikes will not be allowed onboard after 8:30pm. Starts Fri Jul 4 3:00AM Until Sat Jul 5 2:59AM
The last trains on the Rockport, Haverhill, Lowell, Fitchburg, Franklin, Providence, Fairmount, Greenbush and Kingston Line trains will hold up to 30 minutes after the end of the fireworks if necessary. Trains will depart no later than 12:15 am.
