Reminder - MARC Train --- Major service modifications on Friday, June 20 Started Until Fri Jun 20 Last nights severe thunderstorms significantly impacted the Brunswick and Camden Lines with numerous fallen trees across the tracks on both lines. This resulted in service suspensions and major delays on both lines, especially the Brunswick Line. As of 10:00pm, most Brunswick Line train equipment and crews are still in Washington and will not be able to return west this evening. Camden Line trains were able to get to their final destinations with major delays, but most of the train crews will not be able to get their Federal Railroad Administration mandated off duty and rest time prior to this morning. These issues will also cause impacts to Penn Line service today
MARC Train will operate on a modified schedule:
--The Brunswick Line will not operate today. Passengers from Frederick County can consider using MTA Commuter Bus Routes 505 and 515, and Montgomery County passengers should consider RideOn and WMATA bus service and WMATA Metrorail options
--The Penn and Camden Lines will operate on the "R" schedule. Only trains with an R under the train number in the will operate. Some trains make additional stops on the R schedule, as noted with an R in the timetable grid. For Penn Line passengers, in addition to the R schedule, Trains 452 and 453 (9:25pm departure from Penn Station and 10:55pm departure from Union Station) will operate.
Any additional updates on service today will follow up this morning. We appreciate your understanding given the severe nature of the weather last night and thank you for riding MARC.
