From Friday 31 January, a new morning and afternoon school bus service will run between North Rothbury and Rutherford Technology High School to meet student demand following community feedback.
- School route S526: A new service in the morning, operated by Grace Coaches will service North Rothbury, Branxton, Greta and Lochinvar before arriving at Rutherford Technology High School.
- School route S526: A new afternoon service, operated by Grace Coaches will depart Rutherford Technology High School and service Greta, Branxton and North Rothbury.
Changes to other services:
- Maitland Grossman High School and Maitland High School students who previously took the Grace Coaches S520 morning service should now take CDC school route 2571 and transfer to the regular route 180 service at Rutherford Shopping Centre (Hillview Street). In the afternoon, students can utilise the 2194 CDC school service.
- Students from Maitland Public School, St John the Baptist Primary School and All Saints College who took the Grace Coaches S520 service to and from school will now catch the CDC school route 2712 morning service and the 2194 afternoon service.
- The S520 school route has been redesigned to service Rutherford and Aberglasslyn.

- The school bus you travel on may be a CDC bus (operated by Hunter Valley Buses) or a Grace Coaches bus. If it is a CDC bus, you will need an Opal card. If it is a Grace Coaches bus, you will need a school travel pass. If your service has changed, find out more about how to apply for a pass.
