Beginning Monday, May 12 at start of service, the construction at 4 Street S.W. / Mission Bridge will be concluded, and Route 449 will be returning to its regular route.

The following stops will be reopened:

The following stops will no longer serve Route 449:


  • EB 25 AV @ 4 ST SW (#5594) - detour stop

  • EB 34 AV @ 4 St SW (#7303) - detour stop

  • EB 34 AV @ 2 ST SW (#7302) - detour stop

Starting Sunday, June 1 at start of service to 9 p.m., 4 Street S.W. between 12 Avenue S.W. and 26 Avenue S.W. and 17 Avenue S.W. at 4 Street S.W. are closed for the Lilac Festival. Route 449 will be detoured.


Northbound route 449 will travel:



  • North on 4 Street S.W.

  • East on 26 Avenue S.W.

  • North on 2 Street S.W.

  • West on 11 Avenue S.W.

  • North on 4 Street S.W., resume regular routing


Southbound route 449 will travel:



  • South on 1 Street S.W.

  • West on 11 Avenue S.W.

  • South on 5 Street S.W.

  • East on Elbow Drive S.W.

  • South on 4 Street S.W., resume regular routing

Starting Monday, October 21 at 9 a.m. until further notice, the southbound right lane of 1 Street S.W. between 6 Avenue S.W. and 7 Avenue S.W. will be closed for construction. Routes 1, 7, 10, 13, 90, 449, and MAX Purple will have stop closures.


The following stops will be temporarily closed:



  • SB 1 ST @ 6 AV SW (#7845) - Route 10

  • SB 1 ST @ 6 AV SW (#2491) - Routes 7, 13, 90, 449

  • SB 1 ST SW @ 7th AV SW (#3392) - Routes 1 & MAX Purple


Please use the following stops in lieu of the closed stops:



  • SB 1 ST SW @ 7 AV SW temporary stop - far side - Routes 1, 7 & MAX Purple

  • SB 1 ST SW @ 8 AV SW (#7337) - Routes 13, 90, 449

  • SB 1 ST SW @ 8 AV SW (#5580) - Route 10

Starting Thursday, May 22 through Saturday, June 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends, there will be a right lane closed in both directions of 42 Avenue S.E. @ 1 Street S.E. for construction. Routes 30, 147, and 449 will have a stop closure.


The following stop will be temporarily closed:



  • WB 42 AV S.E. @ E. of 1 ST S.E. (#5575)


Please use the following stop in lieu of the closed stop:



  • Temporary Stop - 75m east of the closed stop.
